Objectives

  • To improve transparency and efficiency in implementation of government initiatives.
  • To support the government in making informed policy decisions.
  • To promote Public Private innovation and partnership, encouraging Agri. Tech in India’s digital economy.

FARMER REGISTRY

Farmer Registry is a pivotal initiative under the AgriStack initiative, aimed to create a comprehensive and unified registry of farmers across the country. The primary objective of the Farmer Registry is to create a digital database of farmers, capturing vital data related to land holdings, crops, agricultural practices, and financial details. This registry shall enable targeted delivery of benefits, reduce inefficiencies, and improve data accessibility for policy making. All the District as well as Tehsil level officials from Revenue & DM and Agriculture & FE Dept. are assigned with Farmer Registry activities.

DIGITAL CROP SURVEY:

Presently the area under various crops grown in the state is estimated either through sample surveys or through eye-estimates recorded in an integrated decision support system (ADAPT-DSS). Estimates made by different organizations or departments are often not in synchronization with each other, and thus there is no single source of verified crop data that exists in the state. To ensure a more comprehensive assessment of crop coverage, there is a need to identify and record crops grown in the geo-referenced plots in an authenticated manner leveraging technology. Digital Crop Survey aims to capture this information as a part of the Crop Sown Registry of the AgriStack. The department is conducting a Digital Crop Survey that will enable an understanding of the cropping patterns at the farmer and farm plot level and create a repository that will drive personalised service delivery for all farmers from different government departments and the private ecosystem.
