The major objective of the scheme is to promote Integrated Nutrient Management (INM) through judicious use of chemical fertilizers including secondary and micro nutrients in conjunction with organic manures & biofertilizers for improving soil health and its productivity.
Soil sample is collected from farmer’s field and tested in the laboratory. A Soil Health Card is provided to the farmers in which recommendations are provided to use required quantity of Fertilizers in balanced dose. In addition to that suitable advisories are also provided to ameliorate the problems, if any, in the soil.
During 2024-25 as on 29th March, 5.13 lakh Soil samples have been tested the State and for 2025-26, there is a programme of 5.70 lakh.
